Reunited, double LP, world excited.

Hi There - Hello There.

To start...

Last night, as myself and other absolutepunk.net users speculated, Blink 182 announced they are reuniting. I'm sure some of you are, like my roommate, laughing at the idea that this makes me happy. I'm not some big Blink 182 fan... I'm barely a fan at all but I really did enjoy some of their old records (Dude Ranch) and am aware of the impact they had on pop punk music...a genre I, at one point in my life, was very much invested in. (A while back of course) But another rumour began to fly around this morning about another band that may be reuniting and it's a band I have much more interest in. Matchbook Romance.

Matchbook Romance is a band from my hometown, Poughkeepsie NY. They were the first local band I ever go into ( Back then they were "Fizzlewink") and since then have I have grown to enjoy the music they made and even more so, enjoyed their friendship. They signed to Epitaph a few years back and released two full length albums. I thoroughly enjoyed their second release "Voices". It was a big deal for a band out of my hometown, some of them out of my high school, to be signed to such a big label. It's exciting to flirt with the idea that they might be getting back together. They announced their break up on my birthday back in 2007 - a year before then, for my birthday, I took a trip from Savannah to Atlanta to see them play. Now a month before my birthday, rumors are popping up... I don't know if it'll happen but it'd be nice if it works out. Good musicians - Good guys. So, in spirit of this possible reunion I'll promote Matchbook Romance this week. Below is a video for their song "Monsters" off their album "Voices".

NOBODY HAS TO STAY
- Well we have met with a couple of talented actors and will be meeting with some actresses and hopefully have the film mostly casted within the next few weeks. We took a trip to Poughkeepsie and visited just about every location we plan to shoot in. Things are moving along nicely. Oh don't forget...you can help us out by donating. Click on the button below!
